About Me

Welcome to transmogrified.com, the personal site of Joseph Mastey. I am a recent graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology in the subjects of Computer Science and Business Management.

I live in the tiny town of Harvard, Illinois, approximately equidistant from Milwaukee and Chicago. I currently work at the Chicago Public Library as a Senior Software Engineer, developing web-based tools for the library's intranet and internet sites.

Programming

I am an experienced developer for the web, having spent several years working with PHP, JS, CSS and other technologies. For details on some of the projects I've worked on, see my portfolio. I have successfully delivered valuable business software for a number of organizations over the years, and I am skilled at gathering requirements and building the right software for the job.

I do currently work full-time, but occasionally freelance on interesting side projects. If you are in need of some development, email me and let me know you're interested. I'll get in touch with you promptly to get more details about the work.
